Supporters United!
We understand that discovering a new social opportunity for someone you support can bring a mix of excitement, curiosity, questions, and uncertainty. At SparkAbility, our goal is to help make the experience feel comfortable, welcoming, and supported from the very beginning.
We recognize how important parents, guardians, family members, caregivers, and other trusted supporters can be in a member’s life. That is why we encourage members who benefit from additional support to have the people they trust involved in whatever way helps them feel most comfortable.
Whether that means helping with transportation, communicating with our team, attending an activity, supporting a member during a date or friendship hangout, or simply staying informed, Supporters are always welcome to be part of the SparkAbility experience.

Every Member Is Different
There is no single way to be a Supporter. Some members may benefit from a Supporter being closely involved throughout their SparkAbility experience, while others may become increasingly independent over time.
Our team will work with members and their Supporters to create a level of involvement that encourages comfort, confidence, independence, and meaningful social connection.
